Moon Fest
The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival is one of the most celebrated festivals in Chinese culture.  It takes place every year on the day of the lunar calendar when the moon is at its brightest on this day in Asia, millions of Chinese gather to feast, dance, light colorful paper lanterns and eat moon cakes under the warm glow of the full moon.

Wow, It must be elegant stuff. I'm currently doing a marble tile floor that costs $8 a tile and I'm kind of nervous with the cutting. You must be sweating bullets with each scissor stroke. But then, you really know your stuff. You'll make that fabric look like $300./yard.

Largest regional most unique fiber art show at the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Rd., Glencoe. The event showcases more than 150 distinctive fiber art pieces including quilts, wall hangings, clothing, dolls and beadwork and is hosted by Illinois Quilters Inc., North Suburban Needle Arts Guild and North Shore Weavers Guild. Fashion shows are held at 11a.m Friday and Saturday; lectures at 1:30 p.m. daily. Children activities are available Saturday and tours and demonstrations are offered throuhout the show and a silent auction ends at 4 p.m. daily. Cost $8.75 parking. Hours 10a.m. to 5 p.m.
